Wow, I can't believe it took me this long to put Meatballs on pizza. It's so easy and incredibly delicious. Give it a try and let us know what you think. You can use a simple store bought marinara/pizza sauce or make this very easy one below.
Ingredients
Pizza sauce, recipe below or store bought
Pizza Dough, we use the one from Whole Foods
8oz of Vegan Mozzarella Shreds, we used VioLife
1 package of Beyond Meat Meatballs
1/4 cup of freshly chopped flat leaf parsley for garnish
Vegetable Oil
Olive oil
Directions
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a medium pan over medium high heat
Add in your thawed meatballs and cook, moving meatballs around often, for roughly 10 minutes
Should almost be browned but slightly less cooked so they finish in the oven on the pizza
Set aside and allow to cool slightly
Chop some meatballs in half and some in thirds
Heat oven according to dough directions, ours was 450
Roll out your dough to desired shape
Spread generously with pizza sauce, reserve 2-3 tbsp of pizza sauce
Top with your cheese shreds
Drizzle with olive oil
Evenly add your meatballs
Take reserved sauce and drizzle on top
Bake in preheated oven for roughly 15 minutes until crust is golden
Remove and garnish with parsley
Serve and enjoy!
If you want to make your own sauce this recipe is easy and delicious
Ingredients
6oz of tomato paste
1-2 tbsp of olive oil
14-15oz of tomato sauce
1 tbsp of minced garlic
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp of Italian seasonings
Salt and pepper
Directions
Heat a small sauce pan over medium heat
Add in your garlic and sauté for 2 minutes
Add in remaining ingredients and mix well
Cook for 5 minutes and turn off heat
