Pull Apart Meatball Subs

These bite sized pull apart meatball subs are my new obsession. They are absolutely delectable. And the best part is they are SUPER EASY to make and require only a handful of ingredients. I originally saw this on Pillsbury's website and knew I had to veganize it and I'm so glad I did!

Ingredients

1 8oz Can Pillsbury Crescent Roll Dough

1 10oz package of Beyond Meat Meatballs

1-2 cups of your favorite marinara sauce

2 tbsp. melted butter

1 rounded tsp Italian seasoning

Pinch of Salt

Vegetable oil

1/2-1 cup of shredded white cheese, we used Follow Your Heart Mozzarella

Directions

Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a non stick pan over medium high heat

Once the oil is hot add in your meatballs

Cook shaking pan to brown evenly, for 5 minutes

You don't want to overcook them since they will be going back into the oven

You just want to get them browned on all sides

Remove from pan to cool

Preheat oven to 350

Roll out your dough

Separate in half to create two (14x4 inch) rectangles

Press together the perforated edges to seal

In the center of each rectangle sprinkle with cheese, lengthwise

Top each rectangle lengthwise, with 6 meatballs

Spoon a little sauce on each meatball

Start at one end and lift each side up to stretch in between meatballs and pinch to seal

Repeat until all edges are pinched

Using a butter knife score in between meatballs

Mix your melted butter with Italian seasonings and pinch of salt

Brush generously on the top of your dough

Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until dough is golden

Warm up your remaining marinara to use for dipping

Serve and enjoy!
