Everything you love about Pecan Pie but in a dip form. And we’re using vegan friendly pie dough to make little pie crust cookies to dip into the pecan pie dip!
Ingredients
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup just vegan egg
1 tsp vanilla
4 tbsps vegan butter
Pinch of salt
2 cups chopped pecans
2-3 tbsps flour
Pie dough
2 tbsps sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Directions
Mix you sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, set aside
Preheat oven according to pie dough directions
Cut out shapes for dippers, we used leaves
Place cut outs onto lined baking sheet
Sprinkle tops with your cinnamon and sugar mix
Bake in preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until golden
Remove and set aside until ready to use
Heat a large pan to medium
Add in your brown sugar, maple syrup, vegan egg and vanilla
Mix while cooking for 5 minutes until bubbling
Add in your butter, salt and pecans
Cook for 10 more minutes stirring often
Whisk in your flour
Continue to cook, stirring often until thickened and bubbly, roughly 10-15 more minutes
If not thick enough you can add in more flour
Turn off heat
Let cool for 5 minutes
Serve with pie dippers
