Such a simple but flavorful dish. Perfect to cook outside on the grill to keep that kitchen cool.
Ingredients
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of soy sauce
1/3 cup pineapple juice
1 tbsp of crushed garlic
Pinch of salt and pepper
1 tbsps of cornstarch mixed 1 tbsps water
2 packages of Gardein Chick'n Wings, thawed and sauce saved for another dish
2 cups of Fresh Pineapple cut into chunks*
3 bell peppers (color of choice, we used red and yellow) Cut into chunks
1 red onion cut into chunks
Skewers (If using wooden skewers, make sure to soak in water for 1 hr before using)
*If you don"t have fresh pineapple you can always used canned pineapple
*Keep chunk sizes the same
Directions
Whisk together your first 6 ingredients in a small sauce pan
Heat over medium high heat until it boils
Remove from heat and let cool
Form your Chick'n into chunks the same size as your vegetables
Pour your marinade over your chick'n, keep 1.4 cup for serving
Marinate in refrigerator for 1 hour
Remove chicken from marinade, reserve marinade
Add your chicken and vegetables to skewers
Place onto heated grill
Brush with reserved marinade
Grill for roughly 10-15 minutes
Remove when starting to get grill marks
Serve with 1/4 reserved sauce
