Filet with Brown Rice, Peas and Mushrooms


What a spectacular dish this is. A filet made out of Gardein Beefless Tips, on top of brown rice, peas and mushrooms packed with flavor. Caution: You will feel fancy after cooking and consuming.

Ingredients

1 package of Gardein Beelfess tips, thawed

8-10 oz of mushrooms, sliced

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup of peas

1/3 cup of butter, plus 1/3 cup for sauce

1/2 cup of shredded Follow Your Heart mozzarella

2 tbsps of Liquid Aminos

2 tbsp of Nutritional Yeast

1 tsp dried Italian seasoning

Salt and Pepper

1/3 cup of chopped flat leaf parsley

Roughly 2 cups of brown rice, cooked

Olive Oil

Follow Your Heart Parmesan for garnish, optional

Directions

Prepare your steak

Using your thawed gardein tips mash together roughly 4-5 pieces

Then form into steak size filets

Repeat with remaining tips (Should make 4 steaks)

Spray each side with cooking spray and season with salt and pepper

Place into fridge until ready to cook (At least an hour)

In a large frying pan add a little olive oil and heat over medium high heat

Add in your mushrooms and saute for 5 minutes

Add in your garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes

Add in your liquid aminos and cook for an additional 2 minutes

Stir in your cooked rice

Add your 1/3 cup of butter

Stir until melted

Add in your peas and cheese

Add in your dried Italian seasoning

Season with salt and pepper

Cook for 2 more minutes until cheese is melted and turn off heat

Cover until ready to plate

Cook your steaks

Heat your cast iron skillet (Or a non stick will do) over medium high heat

Add in a little oil

Once heated add your steaks

Cook on each side until browned and starting to crisp (3-4 minutes each side)

Once both sides are browned spread add remaining butter to the top of each steak

Sprinkle with parsley

Once butter has melted using a spoon keep spooning the melted butter and parsley from the pan on top of the steaks

Turn off heat and plate

Add a generous amount of rice mix to each plate

Top with steaks and spoon a little butter from skillet on top

Serve and Enjoy!
