Say hello to your new favorite slice!
Ingredients:
2 onions, diced
1 package of LightLife Tempeh Maple Bacon
Follow Your Heart Gouda slices, cut into 3-4 smaller slices
1/3 cup vegan butter
3 tbl of nutritional yeast
Baby Spinach Leaves
Pizza Dough of choice
Oil
Directions:
Add roughly 1 tbl of butter into a large frying pan
Heat to medium heat
Add in your onions
Cook, turning often until caramelized
Roughly 30-45 minutes or so
When onions are caramelized, remove from pan
Using the same pan add in your maple tempeh
Using spatula crumble into small pieces
Cook until browned (add more oil if needed)
Preheat oven to pizza dough directions
Shape your dough into pizza shape
Place onto your pizza pan
Melt your butter in a small bowl and mix with nutritional yeast
Spread a generous amount of melted butter all over the dough
(this acts as your ‘marinara’)
Top with your cheese
Add spinach leaves
Add your onions following by your maple tempeh
Bake in preheated oven until pizza is golden and crispy
Remove and let sit 3 minutes before slicing
Serve and enjoy!
