There is just something so special about a fresh crisp salad! This one wont let you down. There is so much flavor going on here!
Ingredients:
1 head of Iceburg lettuce, cut into small wedges
1 container of Grape Tomatoes, cut in half
1 package of Tofurky Smoky Maple Bacon Marinated Tempeh
1 small red onion, chopped
Ms Vegan Blue Cheese Dressing or Store Bought FYH Blue Cheese, recipe below
Oil for frying
Sticks to plating
Dressing Ingredients:
1/2 cup FYH Ranch
1/2 cup FYH Sour Cream
1-2 tablespoons of tahini
2 rounded tablespoons of Roasted Garlic Vegenaise
1 teaspoon garlic and onion powder
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon white wine vingegar
Salt and Pepper
1/3-1/2 block of extra firm tofu, pressed and crumbled
Mix everything together and Chill for at least 1 hour
Directions:
Heat 1/3 cup of oil in a small sauce pan
When hot, add in your tempeh
Make sure tempeh is submerged in the oil
Fry for 2-3 minutes until browned
Remove and drain on paper towel
Continue frying remaining tempeh
Plate your wedges:
2-3 grape tomato halves onto stick
Place stick into the wedge
Drizzle with a generous amount of dressing
Sprinkle with onions and tempeh bacon
Season with salt and pepper
Serve and Enjoy!
