This patty right here, makes my heart melt!
(Makes 2 melts. Double recipe to make 4 melts)
Ingredients:
Beyond Meat Burger Patties
2 onions sliced thin
1 tbl of vegetable oil
1 tsp salt
½ tsp sugar
4 slices Thick Bread
Roughly 1/3-1/2 cup Earth Balance Butter
FYH Vegenaise
FYH Provolone Cheese slices
Directions:
In a large frying pan add your onions and oil
Cook over medium-high heat
Cook for 5-7 minutes turning often
Turn heat down to medium
Add in 2-3 tablespoons of butter, salt and sugar
Cook for 10-12 minutes turning often
Adding in more butter if needed
Onions should be starting to brown
Remove from heat set aside to cool
Press your Beyond patties down to the size of your bread
Using the same pan cook your patties
Remove from pan
Clean out pan and return to stove
Prepare sandwiches
Coat each slice with a little vegenaise
Top one slice with one slice of cheese
Add one patty
Add a generous amount of grilled onions
Top with one more slice of cheese
Add your top bread, vegenaise side down
Heat a little butter in your frying pan over medium heat
When hot add in your sandwich
Using the back of the spatula carefully press down
Cook for 2-3 minutes until bread is golden brown
Flip and repeat
Cover with lid the last 1 minute
Remove and repeat
Serve and enjoy!
