The next best thing since sliced bread, a good old cuban sandwich.
Ingredients:
4 french rolls
6-8 slices of Daiya Swiss Cheese Slices
16 slices of lightlife deli style ham
16 slices of lightlife deli style turkey
FYH Vegenaise
Yellow Mustard
Deli style pickle slices
Earth Balance Butter, softened
Directions:
Slice each roll in half
Evenly spread a good amount of Vegenaise on one side of the bread
Evenly spread your mustard on the other side of the bread
On the bottom bread layer the following
4 slices of ham, 4 slices of turkey, 1-2 slices of cheese, in that order
Top with desired amount of pickle slices
Add the top of the bread
Generously butter each side of the outside of the bread
Heat a skillet with a little cooking spray to medium-high
Wrap a flat plate in foil
Place your sandwich into the skillet and top with the foil lined plate
Place something heavy ontop, I used my biggest sauce pan
Press down on sandwich
Let is cook for 3-5 minutes until golden brown
Carefully flip and repeat
If bread is browning too quickly turn your heat down
Repeat with remaining sandwiches
Cut in half and serve
