An absolutely tasty alternative to eating tacos!
Ingredients:
1 package beyond meat grillers
1 tbl of vegan chicken flavor
1/3 cup of water
1 head of butter lettuce
Roughly 2 cups cooked white rice
Cucumber Slaw, recipe below
Teriyaki Sauce, recipe below
Directions:
In a large frying pan add the first 3 ingredients
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat
Turn down heat to simmer for 5 minutes
Turn off heat
Allow to sit for 20 minutes
Add Teriyaki sauce to pan
Bring to a boil and turn down heat to simmer
Cook for 5-10 minutes, until sauce has coated grillers
Prepare your Wraps
Add a little rice to leaf
Followed by teriyaki grillers
Add slaw
Repeat with remaining ingredients
CUCUMBER SLAW
Cucumber Slaw Ingredients:
1/4 rice vinegar
1 tbl sugar
1 those sesame oil
1 tsp ginger
1 tbl minced garlic
1 Cucuber sliced and chopped
1/2 cup carrots
1/2 tbl of sesame seeds
Cucumber Slaw Directions:
Whisk together the first 5 ingredients
Whisk until sugar is dissolved
Add in carrots, cucumbers and sesame seeds
TERIYAKI SAUCE
Teriyaki Sauce Ingredients:
2-3 tbl of cornstarch
1/3 cup of cold water
½ cup of soy sauce
1 cup of water
1/3 cup brown sugar
1-2 tbl of sugar
1 tsp of garlic powder
1 tsp of ground ginger
Teriyaki Sauce:
Combine the first 2 ingredients
Mix well, set aside
Combine remaining ingredients into medium sauce pan
Heat over medium-high heat
Bring to a boil
Reduce heat to simmer
Stir in cornstarch slaw
Continue to cook over simmer, stirring often
Cook until thickened
